Macbeth

A costume led reinterpretation of Shakespeare's Macbeth, translating ambition, guilt and the corruption of power into garment language. The materialised look belongs to Lady Macbeth, the project's psychological core, the figure who channels desire, manipulation and the unraveling of conscience.

The look is constituted by four pieces: a deconstructed corset that exposes structure as a metaphor for inner fracture; a skirt hand painted and finished with aerosol, evoking stained ritual and bloodied gesture; an overskirt hand painted and assembled from many pieces with a tactile texture built through heat gun thermofusion, working as armour and wound at once; and a thick printed faux leather cape that frames the silhouette with regal weight. The look is completed by a Hennin, a tall pointed headpiece that crowns the character with medieval, almost spectral authority.
